I was completely lost for words and unprepared when my blog received The Best Overall Blog Award at the 2013 Blog Awards Ireland ceremony held at The Osprey in Naas last night having already picked up Best Eco/Green, Best Lifestyle and Best Great Outdoors.
If I hadn’t have been I’d have asked everyone to give a round of applause to Amanda Web, Beatrice Hunt and Lorna Sixsmith for organising such a great night and for encouraging bloggers across Ireland to keep blogging. Those of us who attended last nights event had a very enjoyable time. The cabaret themed room was full of style and splendour, the entertainment greeted with appreciative smiles and laughter, and warmth surrounded us from the company of fellow finalists and friends.
So I just want to say now, a very heartfelt thank you for the support and encouragement you’ve offered me since I began writing here four years ago and I hope I can continue to share content that you’ll enjoy and perhaps sometimes, make you think and comment upon.
If you’d like to keep up to date with posts, perhaps you’d like to subscribe to the blog by entering your email into the subscribe box or adding the blog URL to your feeder.
Thank you from a still very surprised but most definitely smiley,
Well deserved! Congratulations.
Thanks for your support Margaret, appreciated 🙂
It was great to see your blog getting the recognition it deserve. Congratulations Dee
Thank you for being so supportive of it since I began blogging Brian, very much appreciated.
I was delighted to see you scoop so many trophies Dee and well deserved, you write a great blog and you work very hard at it. It’s great to hear you think KLCK contributed to that success in terms of perfecting your skill as well as offering so much community support.
Next up – a book 🙂
If only I could think of a topic for one Lorna lol! Perhaps you could start up a book writers support group next ;)) the KLCK comments were genuinely meant. Every single meeting has resulted in some learning and we all appreciate the effort you put into it. I was with Ross and Simon at breakfast this morning and we were all agreed – they were recommending it to some Wexford bloggers too.
Everyone must have been up early for brekkie, Amanda, Mads and I were down around 10:15 and you’d all gone 🙂
Ahh, should have texted but didn’t occur that no one would be up!
No, we weren’t up early 🙂 Had a nice long leisurely breakfast till around 11:30 – around 4 teapots!
Sounds lovely – chilled and relaxing which is exactly what you needed. I did have a nice chat with Simon and Ros though and had to get back for the children.
Congratulations Dee. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Thomas and thanks for dropping by, great to hear from you again 🙂
Absolutely thrilled to bits for you Dee. So well deserved. Delighted I was able to be there to join in the celebrations. Told you I had a gut feeling 🙂
Well I’m still fairly dumbstruck Mary but thank you for believing me and all your support from the beginning. So glad you were there too, perhaps next year you’ll be wearing the Eco/green crown 🙂
Congratulations DEE! Well deserved!! Exciting times ahead!!
Thank you! Still grinning, no idea what lies ahead lol 🙂
