Grow Your Own Vegetables - Workshops in County Carlow
New for 2023, Dee will be holding a polytunnel workshop at Greenside Up, near to Old Leighlin in the Carlow hills, which may be all that’s needed to help you grow your own vegetables and herbs more confidently.
Places for the polytunnel workshop at Greenside Up are limited which will result in a much more personal learning experience.
The workshop will run from 11.00am to 3.00pm and the cost is €65.00, which includes a light three course lunch and refreshments.

Polytunnel Workshop

If you’re new to polytunnel growing, or in need of a refresher, come along to this workshop at Greenside Up in County Carlow for some tips, advice and practical experience to help get your organic fruit and vegetables off to a good start.
During the day we’ll discuss polytunnel layout, planning and seed sowing, irrigation techniques, organic soil care, crop rotation, pests and diseases and much more.
Cost: €65.00 for the day, including a light, three course lunch and refreshments.
Terms and Information
The grow your own workshops at Greenside Up will be a combination of hands on and basic knowledge and will take place inside and out, so please wear weather appropriate clothing. Bring sturdy boots, gardening gloves and warm/waterproof clothes suitable for outdoors or sun cream and hats, depending upon the time of year.
To secure your place, workshops must be paid for in full and places are offered on a first come first serve basis. In the unfortunate event that the courses have to be cancelled, refunds will be given in full but we will try to give you as much notice as possible and cannot be held responsible for any expenses you may incur.
If you have booked and have to cancel, please let us know at least four weeks in advance of the course if you wish to receive a full refund, otherwise a full refund may not be possible. You are welcome to send someone else in your place. These rules apply equally to gift voucher bookings.
Where you are unable to attend a class due to adverse weather conditions, illness or other personal circumstances, our booking and cancellation policy will still apply. However, at our sole discretion, we may be able to offer alternative dates for a replacement class at short notice.
We reserve the right to alter or amend courses.
We do not allow course participants to take video footage or film on any of our courses as it interferes with the running of the class. Participants are permitted to take occasional still photographs to record their day but are asked to be sensitive to the privacy and enjoyment of other participants.
