Some may still need the protection of horticultural fleece or newspaper for the more tender varieties but it will give you a head start. These included mangetout, dwarf french beans, lettuce and basil\u00a0(under fleece at night),\u00a0beetroot,\u00a0perpetual spinach and scallions. We also moved a few strawberry plants growing outside into the corner of the tunnel in hope of an earlier crop.<\/p>\n<p>All being well,\u00a0in a month or two\u00a0we&#8217;ll be planting courgettes, squash, cherry tomatoes and peppers and after\u00a0we&#8217;ve harvested the beans and peas, some winter cabbage.<\/p>\n<p>It feels great to get started again and am now chomping at the bit\u00a0to get the rest of the\u00a0beds ready outside.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wondering what to sow in a polytunnel in February?
