Again.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t seem that long ago we were here before &#8211; holed up for four days before we saw human life.<\/p>\n<p>However,\u00a0back in January when we had to abandon our car and get a lift home in a tractor,\u00a0we had a house full of Christmas food and sherry.<\/p>\n<p>This time we have a house full of 12yr old boy&#8217;s party food&#8230;.. so lots of crisps, sweets, fizzy drink and pizza&#8217;s.\u00a0 And not forgetting the cake. A cake big enough for 12 hungry 12 year old boys that were supposed to arrive here yesterday for an afternoon of Wii Guitar Hero games.<\/p>\n<table cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_OvxlUzzvECE\/TPI3k-7CCjI\/AAAAAAAAAfE\/3wPw8azCL_E\/s1600\/PB271068.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_OvxlUzzvECE\/TPI3k-7CCjI\/AAAAAAAAAfE\/3wPw8azCL_E\/s320\/PB271068.JPG?resize=320%2C240\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" border=\"0\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>Our garden after just 3 hrs of snow<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>For safety reasons, and to take the pressure off the other parents,\u00a0we made the decision to break our son&#8217;s heart and cancel his party yesterday. He&#8217;d been talking of nothing else\u00a0for most of last week (other than the new mobile\u00a0&#8216;phone he&#8217;s hoping to get\u00a0for his birthday).<\/p>\n<p>Instead we had a family party. Just the five of us.\u00a0 We sang and rocked, played Monopoly (well the card version as half the adult one was missing), ate all the Cadbury&#8217;s Heroes and stuffed our faces with pizza. We sledged, drank hot chocolate and\u00a0fizzy pop,\u00a0lit the fire\u00a0and played Mario Cart.<\/p>\n<p>The girls had great fun and made a smaller cake with all the leftovers for cutting and\u00a0candle blowing out after dinner too.<\/p>\n<div><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_OvxlUzzvECE\/TPI4uXJVuzI\/AAAAAAAAAfM\/tr64mvWsWSY\/s1600\/PB271069.JPG\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_OvxlUzzvECE\/TPI4uXJVuzI\/AAAAAAAAAfM\/tr64mvWsWSY\/s200\/PB271069.JPG?resize=200%2C150\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" border=\"0\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>We&#8217;re saving the big cake for Tuesday, the actual day of the birthday, just in case the roads are cleared and we can invite some of his\u00a0pals up to share it on the day. This time it&#8217;ll be a bit smaller so that I&#8217;m not tempted to eat it&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;..I&#8217;m really not holding out much hope for my Christmas party outfit this
