Growing Herbs and Vegetables in Containers at Dalkey Garden School

On Saturday, 20th May 2017 Dee Sewell will be guest tutoring at Dalkey Garden School, Co Dublin.

From 10am until 4.00pm Dee will be taking participants through the basics of growing herbs and vegetables in containers. From vegetable seed and soil choice, herb planting combinations, sowing, transplanting and container considerations, Dee will be mixing some basic horticultural theory with lots of hands on sowing and planting.

Places are limited so a 50% deposit will secure your booking. Cost for the day is €80 per person which includes materials, notes, and light refreshments.

To book your place or for more information, contact Ann Marie Bowring at Dalkey Garden School

Are you a community group, school or organisation that would like to learn more about growing your own herbs or vegetables or getting started in the vegetable garden?

If so Dee Sewell can help.

Dee Sewell teaches growth and green – gardening with an environmental twist – and some short workshops may be all that’s needed to help you grow your own vegetables and herbs more confidently.

In the Spring of  2016, Dee held workshops at Greenside Up HQ, near to Old Leighlin in the Carlow hills, as well as continued to tutor in community gardens around Carlow and Kilkenny.

The grow your own and gardening workshops were limited to just eight participants per workshop which resulted in a much more personal learning experience.

Dee can deliver workshops in your garden or premises for various sized groups, and visits can be arranged to the Greenside Up HQ in County Carlow by appointment.

As a qualified tutor with lots of experience working with communities and groups, Dee can offer variations of the following gardening workshops tailored to suit your group. Some examples of workshops Dee has delivered include:
